Flashback 51 years to June 6, 1964. You are a famous actor/actress, and you live in a coastal estate in the mountains of the French Riviera.
Even though you just took home $2 million after the success of When the chicken crosses the road, you decided to dedicate only 1% of that to spend on a new set of wheels.
You want something with timeless styling and flair, a torque-rich motor, superb handling prowess, and sophistication. But you also want it to be comfortable on long trips, have decent luggage space, and not attract too much attention. You are a celebrity, by the way.
It seems that a grand touring car is right for you. Luckily, 1964 is right in the middle of the finest GT cars in history.
Let the choices begin!

I’ll put a twist on this WWYR, combining it with DD, Track, and Burn.
You may DD, Track, and Burn any combination of the five cars below, as long as you DD, Track, and Burn at least one, and you must DD, Track, and Burn all five.
Also, an overall winner, as if this is just WWYR.
My choice:
DD the 350 GT, DB5, and 400 Superamerica to the Yacht Club
Track the E-Type in the Monaco Grand Prix
Burn the 3500 GT in my exotic-wooded fireplace.
Overall winner: 350 GT

None. If I’m a celebrity I want max attention. So this will do it.
I also get attention if I die from spinning it into a ditch.
not for canada - australian in disguise

DD the Aston and the Mazer
Track the E Type and the Ferrari (I know it’s a barge but that V12 needs to be given all the revs)
Burn the Lambo (unless I can figure out a way to replace those horrendous headlights with popups)
Overall winner: Aston. Regardless of Bond, it’s just prettiest and most discreet.

Burn all of them, and use the insurance money to buy the 1963 Pininfarina Corvette.
Failing that, I will take a 1964 Maserati Sebring please.

Track the E-Type in the Monaco Grand Prix
Incase you missed the memo, the Monaco GP has never been run to GT regulations.

Yeah that thought was sitting in the back of my head. Well I’ll do it anyway cause I’m a celebrity!

A different picture of the Lambo and the burn camp will be singing a different tune.
This and the Maserati 3500 GTi are beautifully refined cars that are better built than an Italian has any any right to be.
Anyways I’d daily the Lambo (proper gt work) and DB5 (city driving to make meself look good), track the E-type and 3500 (Maserati makes the best road racers anyways), and burn the Ferrari 400.

Perhaps a different picture will change your mind. The Lambo has one of the most perfect GT car silhouettes ever and it would be a damn shame to destroy one. I do agree about the pop up headlights though. That would make this car perfect.

Honestly, I don’t see it from any angle. The greenhouse is too large and bulbous for the lines of the body, and the detailing’s just ill resolved. I much prefer the profile of the Maserati, the Aston or the E type.
